REAL SCIENCE, NO COVER-UP

Otto Warburg won the 1931 Nobel Prize for discovering how cells use oxygen (the respiratory enzyme), not for cancer. Separately, he showed that tumor cells take up large amounts of glucose and ferment it to lactate even when oxygen is available: the Warburg effect. He believed this caused cancer; the mainstream view today is that cancer is driven by gene mutations, which in turn rewire cell metabolism. The finding was never suppressed. FDG-PET scans, used in hospitals worldwide, detect tumors by their high glucose uptake.
